As a young man Max had his 90's dream of becoming a cool music director crushed  by the collapsing music industry and quickly fell in with the wrong crowd. He ended up doing a 12 year stretch as a copywriter and creative director at ad agencies such as Jung von Matt, Mother and BBDO in Berlin and New York. Cut to 2017 when he managed to escape agency life after his directorial debut for little-known smoothie company True Fruits won a Cannes Lion.  Since then he has been living the dream, fathered a couple of children, gained a bit of weight and lost a lot of pitches. He also won a few jobs for clients like Haribo, Vodafone, Netflix and The North Face  and collected a few oddly shaped pieces of metal that now decorate his mum's toilet.
